I do really miss the end-of-run scoreboard from the original (pre-HD) Spelunky – I loved having an idea of how this latest messup compared to all the rest.

Finally had a (whip) crack at Spelunky 2. Slowly shaking off the rust, made it to world 2... and immediately turned to jam by a new trap.

Having switched from sticks to d-pad and shaken off the dust, I've now graduated from stupid finger mistakes to stupid brain mistakes. Which is where my favourite kind of Spelunky opens up: the parable about caution and greed. (He says, missing an easy jump and being impaled.)
