I was on my eighth "it's the greatest show ever" (the final one being from Mike Schur) before I finally decided to get the DVDs. And now I'm one of the zealots shouting about it at any opportunity.
(the syndrome described by this comic did slightly hurt the ending for me. I knew going in that Leftovers was considered "the TV show that sticks the landing")

On sticking the landing: my brother & were wishing a database that told you which shows *did* before you invest time as a latecomer, or when is a good time to jump ship (for example, “stop Dexter after season 4”)

I know a few listicles exist of “How to watch (show) in (x) episodes”, which makes tackling something like Star Trek for example, less daunting (Going off on a major tangent now, apologies)
