I think about it constantly. IMDb voters have it as one of the lowest rated eps of the season which is interesting
I was looking into the reviews it got at the time, and the common theme is "well, at least the Homer b-plot is great". Which... wow.

I never even considered people didn’t always think this is one of the best ever until I saw that rating

I'll confess it had faded in my memory. I think the lack of a high-concept hook, obvious tearjerker moments or the big quotable jokes keeps it out of the immediate 'oh *that* one' canon. Hence this project!
