That was gonna be my question. Asking the odds on if he's really dead. Or rather, asking how you think he'll come back. And why he thought being eaten proved any point about him being trustworthy since at this point everyone knows to betray Loki before he betrays you.
I bounced off the first couple of issues of the run HARD, so it might just be that the goodwill from the support staff issue (and the addition of Blade) is carrying me through?

It does feel, though, like Aaron on Avengers is great at picking toys but less good at knowing what to do with them. Which isn't something I'd have associated with his writing previously

Yeah. If you'd asked me years ago, I'd have picked him for a lot of things above a Thor run, given how loudly atheistic he is and how his brand of atheism doesn't jive well with the internal reality of the MU. And he's managed to defy my expectations there.

It could be. I don't like Blade as much since I've always found the most interesting vampire interactions in Marvel was Dracula and Storm. I don't dislike him, and I thought he was used well in Mighty Avengers, but he's not enough of a draw to get me onto a book on his own.
