The subject of today's #oneweekonecomic thread of observations, speculations and celebrations is @79SemiFinalist/@ItsVeronicaFish/@AndyTFish's SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH #1. (Pretty much spoiler-free, this week.)pic.twitter.com/LGxDwOUS8X

Any theories on why Sabrina has a vinyl of 1950s calypso group The Talbot Brothers of Bermuda? Maybe just be a creator's jam, but it feels so *specific*, and googling doesn't suggest any obvious connections.pic.twitter.com/QcxL46F9l2
Can't quite get my head around this lettering decision. Putting Ren's feet in front of the narrative caption places it in the world – which can be an effective technique. But here it just messes up the sense of perspective. Is Ren actually a tiny man stood in the foreground?pic.twitter.com/6pTGslOlet
The match-cut is a surprisingly rare technique in comics, but it can be really effective. Like these panels, emphasising the contrast between Sabrina before and after.pic.twitter.com/5W2jVsy8uo
And to finish, a weird little coincidence I discovered when buying this issue on Comixology this morning: there are two comics out this week with matching covers – SABRINA #1 and Jenny Frisson's cover for the final issue of HEX WIVES. Is it coincidence... or magic???pic.twitter.com/xO4XQyN8GX
And that's it for this Wednesday's #oneweekcomic! What do we say to anyone looking for quality tweets on the week's most interesting new issue, Salem?pic.twitter.com/frKggc0s3p
