I'm coming to realise that my more optimistic stance on modern cyberpunk (I also wrote a thing! https://www.polygon.com/features/2018/8/30/17796680/cyberpunk-2077-history-blade-runner-neuromancer …) is almost purely down to my experiences with Netrunner, which evades a lot of the issues outlined here.
