    I am so god damn happy for you.

    My name change petition was approved by the courts. As of 1225 today, the man who protected me for 62 years is taking his rest. He is loved and will be treated with respect and honor.

    There have been people in infosec outed as horrible people who I only had positive experiences with because I’m older, established, and high profile. There are people who have been awful or overtly creepy to me whom my male friends always had positive experiences with.

    Check out this useful site! Intuit takes the tax info submitted by people and shows average incomes for job titles. Can’t lie if it’s using tax return data from W2’s. This seems like the most accurate site I’ve seen for salary data.

    Which ever one of you trolls got this moron to tweet about a SNL skit mocking her for her overreactivenees to inane things is a genius. Making comedy reality is what that party does. At least comedians benefit from the Republican Party.

    Just saw the poorly-acted SNL skit from last night. Seeing the poor trigger discipline from the no-name actress who played me makes me think Alec Baldwin did the gun safety training over there. BTW, when are they moving SNL over to CNN to die out of irrelevance?

    This is a powerful lesson. In trying to make a fun space reminiscent of old school hacker events, we are reminded that the old school hacker events were very problematic for a lot of people.

    I am personally sorry for not stopping this when I saw it. I had the authority. I used that authority later on with a problem person that was escalating their behavior. The badge and this person arent different. I was one of a few who could have, but still one of.

    Also we owe a massive apology to , who had absolutely nothing to do with the event whatsoever, was not even in attendance, yet has been fielding a huge brunt of the feedback because she’s such a trusted & safe person for so many, and she’s proving it yet again.

    I’m going to follow here. While I’m just seeing this thread now, I saw the badge. I wasn’t okay with it. I had my own demons I was dealing with there and made the choice. I regret that choice. I sincerely apologize on behalf of

    So should not have had to write this. I help organize one of the Burbsec meetups in the Chicago area. I was at Burbseccon, and did tell the person in question that the badge was not cool, and he shouldn't have it. Was there more that I could do, maybe(1/4)

    We have in the past directed our attendees to as a day-after event for locals & those still in town. We’ve asked the organizers to remove the offensive tweet & our name from their account. We in no way condone the behavior depicted in that tweet.
