"Such an awesome book by Alex Epstein!!! Made me really think deeply about this argument and made me realize I neglect to consider how much of a positive impact fossil fuels have had on humanity" -

My basic criterion for a good review is that by reading it you have a good idea of the author's main argument. If you read every negative "review" of Fossil Future you will have a very distorted, straw-man view of what I argue and how I argue it. Read FF and see for yourself.

TX has spent a fortune on solar, wind, batteries, and transmission lines—and stolen a fortune of the rest of the US’s money via solar/wind subsidies. What did it have to show for it this morning? 1% renewable and drained batteries. #unreliables

“When asked in 1989 about the prospect of fusion by the LA Times, leading ‘green’ thinker Paul Ehrlich said that… the prospect of cheap, inexhaustible power from fusion is ‘like giving a machine gun to an idiot child.’”

“the dominant discussion is, ‘if we cause global warming, that's going to be bad for agriculture in X place’…So even if that were true, what about all the benefits we get from fossil fuels to agriculture?” With Brad Carr
