“A major function of the civil courts is to transfer assets from human defendants, disproportionately Black, to white-controlled corporations or to the state itself, by force or the threat thereof.” A must read on the racial capitalism of civil courts!!

You can’t have an inflationary spiral if workers are still getting real terms wage cuts… Employers are going to weaponize this language against us this year as strike actions tick up. Let’s call it out for what it is: unfettered greed and bs

No surprise that the UK parliament is trying to pass an anti-strike bill during the biggest volume of strike disruption in 33 years. As workers rise up, the mgmt class will always use the law as a bludgeoning tool against us. We have to remember: no strike is illegal if you win.

“This isn’t my union, it’s the member’s union” - Shawn Fain in the UAW President’s debate right now. Hell yeah. It’s time we elect a President that puts the power back where it belongs: in the hands of the rank-and-file.

There was a time when Puerto Ricans were banned from flying our flag. A move intended to forcefully quiet nationalists. To sow fear of punishment & disrupt the building of an organized mass movement to rise up against colonial rule & fight for freedom & dignity. #FreePalestine

Studying labor law is just a series of “huh????” every time I read a new case. Makes me think that even the small wins we have made in the workplace are monumental given we are fighting against the full force of the capitalist apparatus battling against the working class…

Those accusing nurses of being selfish fail to see that the nurses are fighting for their patients. Nurses sacrificed their lives during Covid and we called them heroes. Now they sacrifice their job security and reputation to win safer staffing ratios. Heroes they remain!!

Organizing and socialist training programs are important to develop so we can someday implement them in public K-12 education. is leading the way. Imagine how cool it would be to learn about organizing, labor rights, housing, racial and class power in school…

I’m always surprised how much better and clear-headed I feel when I get enough sleep. 2023 should be the year of prioritizing rest so we can give our all to each other, to life, and to building a fighting working class 😌

Perfect summation of Missouri culture is I just sat down at a coffee shop and immediately got into a three-way conversation with the people sitting at the tables to each side of me

Really great piece by on the case for creating Industrial Branches in so we can continue building socialism and power in the workplace!

Morocco have so much to be proud of. Defeated some of the top teams in the world. Went further than any African nation in history. Went further than any Arab nation in history. Scored great goals. Defended with conviction. Danced with their families. Inspired so many.

Capital guts our rail system, makes billions grinding down rail workers, and now has Democrats and "the most pro-labor administration in history" rushing to impose a deal with no paid sick days You can't stand with both labor and capital DSA is 100% with the 🌹

NEW: Biden is asking Congress to impose a deal with rail unions and railways that his administration recommended earlier this year "without any modifications or delay." This deal was struck down by 4 unions, and does not include paid sick days. washingtonpost.com/business/2022/
