To my old colleagues at and elsewhere: I know ideology now trumps journalism for you.
But imagine what you’d say if you found proof the Trump WH had targeted you personally for a Twitter ban for your reporting. That’s what the Biden Administration did to me.
Not okay.

Curious use of the word "tough" there. It's not a tough question to answer because the answer is simple and they already knew the answer, i.e. you hadn't broken the rules.
"Tough" then seems to imply that they were disappointed in themselves for not being able to ban.

You've got good lawyers. Surely this is a 1A violation in some fashion.

Twitter is a private company. 1A pertains to public speech.

Not a lawyer, but wouldn't this kind of DM greatly help you win a lawsuit ag Twitter? Obviously too late now.

The leads to the next question, who else did they have banned?

This is both shocking and appalling, yet falls in line with Psaki's statement about the WH working with big tech to combat 'disinfo' online. And they're gonna do it again in overtime during midterms.

can someone help me with this--they're just saying that questions about Alex getting suspended from twtr. were "unfair" and "tough" (whatever that means), that they didn't "have answers." Not exactly unconstitutional--just a comms shop having a tough time?

Remember that relatively soon thereafter Twitter did ban him, for something they were later forced to admit was not ban-worthy.

Freedom of the press is a journalist's creed, right?
'I believe that suppression of the news, for any consideration other than the welfare of society, is indefensible.'
I take it they are going with the 'welfare of society' loophole.
