    JOINED STAFF IN DELIVERING MEALS TO SENIORS Our Parks and Rec staff buy the food, put the meals together, and deliver them to 75 Seniors each week. This is on top of the 75 Senior meals that are picked up, and the meals for families that are given out! Hawthorne proud!

    Today our police department was involved in two major incidents in our City. One of our police officers was shot and hurt in the earlier incident. I visited him in the hospital and he is in stable condition. Please keep our police officers and their families in your prayers.

    Shooting update. The suspect was arrested. No other suspects involved. Area still closed for an extended period for the investigation. HPD Officer who was shot is awake and alert. is leading the investigation and will put out more info later.
