People are so race centered that they would probably view gene editing as racial supremacy, but that's stupid since the populations most in need of gene editing for intelligence are also the most genetically diverse and could be uplifted without "white supremacist miscegenation".
People might try to introduce the racial element into it in order to attack it but the argument for gene editing doesn't have to involve race.
Everyone will try to do that and continue the paradox that is human social existence.
Related to your India tweet is that a lot of Indians might gene edit to make their skin lighter. I can understand objections to this sort of thing but it still is within someone's right like its someone's right to marry someone with green eyes. I would hope ppl put health 1st tho
I think skin color is only a bit polygenic maybe ~10? It would be more straightforward with less issues than gene editing for intelligence.
