There is no good test, but some are just good with people. Similar to IQ and g-factor, but IQ test would suck even more.
Social dynamics have no external substance center of gravity, they're just a result of risk aversion and homogeneity. You can fake social skills just by being paranoid and sycophantic enough.

I faked it like that for my boss. But it does not explain a good psychologist who can sometimes understand me better than myself. Or people I actually like. Maybe EQ is more learnable than IQ, but lack of growth in childhood seems very hard to compensate for.
