What if the reason for Nobel Syndrome, engineer attraction to religious extremism and etc is a kind of epistemic fatigue? It's hard to practice correct belief and incredulity. Maybe people get burned out. Maybe the answer is less info and not more.

for me the line has to be what u actually claim to believe about spiritual consequences. its fine to say "all monotheists get into heaven" and then accept them, weird and cowardly to imply that they dont all and accept them anyway for the sake of ephemeral peace
