What if the reason for Nobel Syndrome, engineer attraction to religious extremism and etc is a kind of epistemic fatigue? It's hard to practice correct belief and incredulity. Maybe people get burned out. Maybe the answer is less info and not more.

i think its the consistency. iv commented on before, but mild tolerant religiosity is nonsensical and often kind of pathetic
The consistency might spoof credulity, but you have to have had your other defenses weakened first somehow I think.
