The reason critical thinking and debate doesn't solve anything is because most people's thoughts are programmed into firmware and language just sort of gives it a flourish of personal expression. People are how they argue, fundamentally: this is their nature.
Yes. I wasn't always pro capitalist for instance. I think people have ranges, but these ranges are still finite and determined by innate limitations.

Maybe you are right. Then again, perhaps that range is not “innate” but transient and not welcome to drastic change all at once. More specifically: I am pretty sure people have bayesian thinkers naturally.
