To give a concrete example that pertains to someone else, Crowley's practice of magick (and those of many others) was mostly a matter of leaving empty space and piquing imaginations in the right way. That empty space was then filled by retrocausal interactions from the future.
If you convince people you were doing something when you were not doing anything, your life becomes eventful. If you convince them you were not doing when you were doing, they eviscerate you, they drain you hollow.
