I don't quite buy it. Tech is massively gentrified compared to what it was 20-30 years ago. I think more of the faults of society attribute to normal people than normal people want to admit.
i don't buy the original tweet, but the people complaining about the elites *really* disdained to recognize the positions of power elites were inhabiting "academia, pft, that don't build dams!" "who takes journalists seriously, i just watch fox news, they can have their lies"
