see the argument from buddhism is more like zooming out so you can see how the scale of your present existence relates to the scale of the suffering fractal. do you fear god? how about the endless heap of blood, pus, and suffering beyond all reckoning of time?

I think "the God of Abrahamic religion" is distinguished by some degree of anthropocentrism. this is the case in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam: God is responsible for Man's existence, and God cares about the affairs of Man in some way whereas some other conceptions of God...

whereas some other conceptions of God are more like "The Demiurge" or "Nature Itself." whatever-God-is is impassive and without any benevolent regard for Man. you can imagine The Book Of Job, but Job never gets any response from God -- not even a crappy one.
