I don't normally stand with Google, but I don't see the problem.
If you don't see a problem can you explain the argument being made?
If I'm wrong please correct me, but isn't the argument against Google that remote workers shouldn't make less?
Yes that is the argument against google, but what is the argument being made by Google to justify cutting pay? Inequity, compared to who? Overpaid, if they are doing the same work as an on site employee should they be paid less? Nomadic, a total non sequitur.
Google (businesses in general) doesn't have to justify cutting pay, that's my point. If I was trying though, I'd say office workers are being paid to get up, get cleaned up/dressed, and commute. How much time is spent driving to/from work?Maybe office folks should be paid more.
People should be paid more for theatrics that don't play a role in production?
