i'll give an example if that helps. a student at my small denominational ug college spent 7 years (it took him that long to graduate) spreading chaos and disinformation. faculty resigned, he drove away potential students, he literally alienated 85% of the donors...
he did "guerilla theater" at a local very progressive church and it caused irreparable harm there... the small school literally almost did not recover from his chaos.
