you don't whine. whining is when you feel entitled to something

What if you actually are entitled to it though

then you probably have better recourse than just talking about it (but not always)

Whining is free though. Other recourse requires investment that you might lose.

A lot of it comes down to strong preference for low cost variance strategies, even when they have much lower expected values overall. Whining is like playing poker freerolls for pennies over and over again. Putting money at risk means you have a risk of ruin.

that's why I was making fun of it for not being brave (which would involve some element of accepting risk). it was a subtweet though, not really meant to be a general criticism
