I'd hardly call it the lesser of two evils
Crypto doesn't fund the American military and military industrial complex, prop up Saudi oil, or enable CIA adventurism in South America. It literally just pollutes a bit and is associated with weird tech people because they were first movers.

The only reason that is, is because not enough people use it. If it was widely used it would ABSOLUTELY do all those things.
