I miss when “crypto” was short for “cryptography” and not “cryptofascist pretend currency”.
All currency is pretend. Most currency is backed by implicit threat of force. Fiat is complicity in literal violence. There are some weird people attracted to cryptocurrency but it's overall less problematic than fiat.

Crypto doesn't fund the American military and military industrial complex, prop up Saudi oil, or enable CIA adventurism in South America. It literally just pollutes a bit and is associated with weird tech people because they were first movers.

That’s stupid. (1) By that logic once crypto is used to fund a war... What ppl USE currency 4 is not the fault of the currency. (2) Fiat is not pretend. It represents the productivity and credibility of the issuing nation. Crypto is digital Monopoly money. It represents nothing.
