I think it's very likely that there is uniform mistreatment of certain demographics even in the upper tails. I've never heard a racist admit someone of a disfavored race was smart, for instance. But I also think smart minorities sometimes overgeneralize from their own experience.
Will say it: The 50% of Trans people who die before the age of 50 probably often deserve it. We just need to get those death rate numbers applying to every population across the board to make things fair and optimal.
