there's this weird historocultural view people like that's extremely sus, where groups are these impermeable homogeneous blobs and they're far away so similarities in their stories are just coincidence like, my dudes, it literally takes *one itinerant person* to transmit a story
Also the ancients never shitposted and anything that looks like a shitpost is in fact a highly detailed esoteric articulation of a doctrine or concept as established by some guy hundreds or thousands of years later. Face value? Pffft. Only ignorant heterodox people read that way.
