I'm not exactly crying over the boer genocide, they colonized a farflung country. that's inherently risky, a lot like a landlord buying a house - you're taking a risk, I'm not going to bail you out if it fails. *BUT* I wouldn't block the boers trying to escape, either...

if the int'l community insists on abandoning the SA boer community, letting genocide happen and lecturing the boers how they deserve it all along, then I suspect the reaction will be far worse. the boers will give up all liberalism and go Leopold-style on the African continent...

why shouldn't they? when they bunker up to get away, intl community still drags them hard af. sooner or later, the realization *no matter what they do they'll get called evil* will lead to them realizing there's no cost in evil, because they're already paying the toll

it's like double jeopardy. if they're already being treated by the intl community as if they're nothing more than genocidal maniacs... they don't *pay* anything more than they're already being forced to pay over that treatment if they were to actually do so.

what are liberals in the intl community gonna do? call them racist again? they've already done that a million times. no one cares. they could straight up murder 100 million Africans for no reason, and the intl community couldn't give it to them worse than they're already doing
