finally got an appointment set for a concealed pistol license an opening became available in January of next year

You could also get a Utah CCW due to reciprocity agreements I think. They allow outsiders to get one and I think that "loophole" hasn't been closed yet.

https://www.atg.wa.gov/concealed-pistol-license-reciprocity … look into it though. I think one of the Dakotas issues outsider permits also but you have to pass a firing accuracy test taken in state. Still might be less hassle depending on time/budget

it's not a huge rush honestly, mostly just having for contingencies. main move at this point is just relocating to the burbs asap
