Hungary must ditch anti-LGBT law, EU executive says – Politics

Holy shit the amount of people cheering on Hungary’s discrimination against LGBT community is absurd. People don’t want freedom they want authoritarianism. Hobbs was right.

You want globalist authoritarianism to dictate culture in opposition of the democratic will of the people of Hungary. Literally EU is dictating what an individual nation can have as their own policy and culture.

Democracy is evil. Who cares what a mob wants.

Give this a watch. Democracy does not have to mean liberal mass democracy & in fact the will of the people can absolutely be expressed by limited or no voting, i.e. projected by an authoritarian, monarch etchttps://youtu.be/HqgLlYO4JSo

What I mean is that the will of the people is generally evil. Liberty has traditionally been a better bulwark against the despotism of the majority than authoritarianism because a prosperous people tend to mind their own affairs, but proles should be managed by whatever means.

Please watch the video, I think you'll find it interesting if you're not familiar with Schmitt. I agree with your very last point... in the context of EU dictating culture/policy to Hungary, what is in the interests of the Hungarian nation is what matters.

If economics have become a form of warfare by other means in a post nuclear world then the fact that there are clear winners and losers is not a radically different or new hardship. The people of Hungary just lost, and they should get over it. I will gladly watch, however.

Yes if EU wants to dictate terms to Hungary, they probably can and will, by wielding whatever power they have. But at some point these regimes will have to get their comeuppance not for wielding power but making bad choices..pushing degenerate policy upon their subjects
