Holy shit the amount of people cheering on Hungary’s discrimination against LGBT community is absurd. People don’t want freedom they want authoritarianism. Hobbs was right.

People should have the freedom to choose what is taught to their children.

Nope. Children aren't property. Compulsory education shouldn't exist, but neither should parental control over children extend into right to brainwashing

Nonsense. If parents don't choose what to teach their children, the state or nefarious entities will do it for them. All children have to be taught; and it should be the right of the parents to choose what is being taught.

No entities should be able to coerce anyone into doing anything. And information should be free.

Kids, especially young kids, do not have full use of their reason, do not have a store of experience, and do not have a store of knowledge from which to make decisions. This means they have to be guided in early age, as they have always been, and always will be, by their parents.

I doubt the historical veracity of that claim and assert that most of a child's character is genetic anyway.
