As a pillar of anarchist praxis, *free association* is severely under appreciated, under discussed, and under utilized.
By nature freedom of association is equivalent to discrimination in the broadest sense, some forms of which are bad. It seems like the only solution to this is to propose and promote standards that are of greater importance than freedom of association.

Honestly think the problem is just that people have difficulty articulating why certain forms of discrimination are good and others bad, not that they don't have or need standards.

You are completely misunderstanding what is meant when anarchists discuss free association.

Most likely, I have not been involved in any such discussions, nor read anything about them.
