when I heard the trolley problem it was stated different the 5 people are on the wrong side of the track, near the active track (illegal) the 1 person is on the right side, near the inactive track (legal) kill 5 irresponsible people or 1 responsible person?

there are so many little tweaks you can do to torture people my favorite is to only reveal the negative facts after the decision is irrevocable and then present a new set of the same base facts and watch them squirm

There's no hell that isn't strictly and entirely a consequence of human opinion. I read somewhere that the Romans viewed justice as equivalent to satisfaction of public opinion. And while that's wrong, it's also hard to think of another version of justice that's actually possible
