I haven’t seen any media outlet turn a serious lens to the fact that cutbacks in policing will cause wealthy towns and neighborhoods to invest in private security forces — a potentially bigger problem IMO. I’m still waiting for this perspective.

How is it bigger? Private security would be more accountable and have fewer conflicting interests.
