What the fuck is Mars going to do but perpetuate all the fundamental problems with the human race?

the fundamental problems human face are ignorance and conflict not sure how mind uploading solves either of these

1. All known forms of ignorance can be trivially resolved 2. Post scarcity economics reduces the need for conflict substantially

1. “all known forms of ignorance” you must see the problem there 2. only recognized conflict- in fact, *forced* mind uploading is just another form of “peace through totalitarianism” killing everyone would be even more effective, if “reducing conflict” is your only telos

ignorance and conflicts are problems, and problems are *solved*, not abolished

not really solutions contain the structure of the problem, and add their knowledge to that problem-they are creative denying the problem, and just arbitrarily mandating a solution without preserving the problem, is nihilistic might as well kill everybody, all probs solved

This is incoherent to me. We didn't preserve polio when we abolished polio. Is this some bizarre Hegelianism?

no, but we preserved the problem-description of polio- “people are dying and sick, we want that to stop, here are the facts about it as we know them” next time we want to eradicate polio, we won’t kill humanity (or just sufferers)

Why do you think uploading is destructive?
