Ok so you understand the logic of not equating every liberal to them. So you should understand not equating every communist to Stalin of whoever you’re referring to lol.
It's Stalin's symbol though. It's tainted by that history. Trying to reclaim the hammer and sickle is like trying to reclaim the swastika. Yes, arguments can be made that there was something there before, but they kind of don't matter in practice.
