Ethics can't possibly be about maximizing the welfare of beings incapable of it. There's just something about this formulation that every fiber of my being rebels against.

Behaving ethically. Basically, morality seems to inevitably converge on the selfless sacrificing themselves to the most maliciously selfish people around.

i guess im going for some kind of balance between being my best/most stable and generous 4 people/world and having the boundaries to then j leave them to it when they suck lol. but also are people incapable? or judt ignorant/misguided

axtually yea 4 me part of morality is not oversacrificing and maintaining boundaries against bs so that ppl have to learn from their failures.
