to understand occultism, imagine a fantasy novel setting where there were ways of holographically approximating knowledge of the mind of God, and these also incidentally made you really, really good at fraud. and these were first discovered a thousand generations ago

If something can be destroyed by the truth, it should be. The truth can be destroyed by the truth. The truth should be destroyed by the truth.

Sure. When it comes to predictions a truth invariably destroys many others, but in a small sense.

Nah, like, the possibility of an accurate simulation evaporates when you assume that there were people in the past playing game theoretically optimal games against the future (IE, matching frequencies to avoid "exploitation", in this case accurate modeling, by future simulators).

BUT THIS IS SORT OF WHAT RELIGION/Spirituality/magick IS. It's the impenetrability of insight. We can't tell in any given instance whether such experiences were psychological, neurological, metaphorical, or any other first order material explanation, raising other possibilities

Throw in the possibility of interactions between simulations and realities (whether this one or neighboring ones) and you get a clusterfuck really quickly. The universal prior being malign makes time an eternal battlefield between unknown and ever expanding players.

Arguably the most deliberately malicious example of this was Aleister Crowley's "4 6 3 8 A B K 2 4 A L G M O R 3 Y X 24 89 R P S T O V A L.", a riddle which if answered correctly immediately makes modeling an individual naively impossible.

I’ve long thought that one skates a recursive noise/signal, nonsense/sense construct As far as us as time-worms burrowing blindly into the eternal present, I consider the Waddington landscape and its underlying/shaping guy-wires:pic.twitter.com/qYUt9HPZIw
