Softening my stance from "successful people are generally superior" to "if anyone thinks a successful person is superior, it's almost never through valid empirical reasoning regardless of whether they are or are not"
Isn't it amazing how logic adds texture to thoughts about individual cases of things that would be overlooked by lumping all things into clusters and uniformly applying an opinion to all of them? Oh yes, but logic is a special case of Bayes, right? Therefore...don't use it?
