Biology is a demon. Long term, it has no place in a civilized society. I think Land has it backwards and post humanism is inherently a moralism. Even if there's no continuity between this world and the next, consciousness sans biology is relatively without friction and pain.
I guess this is another weird thing about elevating biological tendencies to transcendental status. God comes, but not to us. This is a place without God. Transcendental values are to us a fever dream blended with Stockholm syndrome to become neither accurate nor applicable
I feel this, but I would avoid equating biology with nature. "Silicon" is also natural, but we've learned to do some very interesting things with it. We are starting to learn to do some VERY interesting things with cells (nucleic acids and proteins enclosed in lipid bubbles).
Biologically enmeshed consciousness is unable to make the jump to post-scarcity, or relative post-scarcity.
