Not by itself. The government of the United States has killed an abnormally large number of people historically though. Maybe that is worth considering in conjunction with other facts.

Logically, if the barrier to genocide is journalists, and you oppose journalists, you support removing a barrier to genocide. There might still be good reasons for opposing journalists, but the immediate relevancy of the syllogism is noteworthy here.
