I am pretty sure I am too dumb for functional programming, but I can understand Rust, so eh? Maybe Haskell specifically is just too weird/mathy for me and I'd do alright with another functional programming language like, say, Elixir.

Scala is more mixed-paradigm than actually functional, right? That's what I've heard. Like you can just have mutable state wherever.

I don't know that any of them are purely functional but yeah, Scala is a mostly functional programming language. You might know more about it than me haha
