You know what would be better? Opening immigration to high IQ populations, particularly those who already have a medical degree or experience.

The idea of universal healthcare is absurd on the same basis as the idea of universal education: limited high IQ population. "Everyone gets a doctor" == "Most people get a doctor useless or actively hazardous to their health".

but one doctor can handle many patients tho also we can just replace doctors with Physicians Assistants, and soon Algos.

Algorithmically assisted healthcare will resolve a lot of problems potentially. All the doctors I know are constantly swamped though, they can't really see more people.

Universal healthcare aka public-sector rationing is shown to be objectively better than private healthcare aka private-sector rationing, over and over again, in every study. This does not imply that there would be no rationing, just the rationing wouldn't be by game equilibrium
