Gnostic belief in salvation through knowledge is more laudable than Christian belief in salvation through Christ, even though both are ultimately nonsense. One has at least the kernel of strength and commitment necessary to say "this is evil" to all evil, even the unavoidable.

Rebellion is the only transcendental virtue. The rest stop at God and are hence necessarily not transcendental at all. Hence why rebellion is the most calumniated of all spiritual dispositions.
