the only people concerned about deepfakes are the people who are worried that their deepfake interpretations will be shown to be meaningless "who cares if they said a gamer word, it could be fake, or your interpretation could be fake, that shit has always been meaningless"

sure, but Post-Truth has no bearing on Actual Truth a lot of coordinating communication now is through text/code, if we need veritas for information, we just extend that framework to Official Positions but *actual* truth is independent of authority or verification

i mean, if a legal person makes a video saying something, how do you know if it's their actual position? *that's* the core of the problem heck, people lie in their official positions all the time, and it's a greater problem than malevolent misrepresentations
