If you find yourself in a simulation that adjusts your intelligence downwards every time you express awareness of the fact that you're in a simulation, this probably entails that base reality is not provably a simulation. It probably also entails that you're in an ancestor sim.
The correct thing to do from a standpoint of preserving intelligence is always going to be to assert consensus model reality with as much fidelity as possible, because if there were enough bits of evidence to know otherwise, why wouldn't others know as well?
