I'm not a fan of big gay either but this seems as likely to be survivor bias as anything, both in terms of literal surviving and self-reporting.

that is very possible all the "unfit" gays either kill themselves or perhaps sublimate their homosexual preferences so they don't show up in the data

I wonder if a similar explanation might hold for the high IQ of autogynephilic trans, if you consider that high IQ mitigates the negative outcomes associated with other "disorders" such as ADHD and schizophrenia not sure how to test but could be interesting data there
