Not at question. It may or may not be. I only meant that whether or not it is supported by elites reveals elite opinions on whether or not it's outside the capabilities of modern economics. Even when they promote belief systems that say wealth is always and only positive sum.

I don't think there's a conflict between saying wealth is positive sum in most cases and saying that a bunch of people dropping out of the labor force would be negative sum.

It speaks more to revealed belief about whether or not coercion is necessary to make people work shitty jobs for shitty pay. Will people drop out when non-employment isn't existential, or will they still take a shitty job in exchange for a slightly improved standard of living.
