I don't like either but one is a bigger threat to me and those I care about than the other given the specifics of time and place. If Russian-style communism were the alternative then yeah, fuck that. American style communism is probably survivable.
I want to see everyone of every ideology at their strongest and most active, so that the output of their activities is greatest. Except fascists. Fascism is just a death drive, it doesn't build anything except by accident or as part of a larger suicide plot.
