The monopolies of the railroad kings were created in large part due to special privileges (i.e free land) given by the government. This is analogous to Section 230 which has granted tech companies freedom from content moderation on their own platformspic.twitter.com/bcf861G6CQ

It's an issue much bigger than political speech. The ability to disappear someone (or some group) from social media, payment processors, & email, will decide who gets to succeed in the 21st century and who fails.

Whether or not Trump deserved to be booted off is irrelevant. The fact that this power exists at all & is unaccountable & opaque, is the issue. And it becomes VERY complex when considering the international nature of 21st century capitalism.
