being morally inert (innocent) is worse than being morally bad the world is morally entropic, and "just existing" generates evil of which you're willfully ignorant- making it an especially grievous kind of evil, because it gets hidden behind "good intentions" or "innocence"

"morality" *does* compel people to do and not do things "practical responses for non-compliance" is just a moral technology- deploying those responses is a morally-derived act
